Checking your face painter has Public Liability Insurance
To help allow visitors to the UK-Facepainting web site make an informed choice when selecting a face painter to hire, we identify all face painters who supply evidence they hold up-to-date Public Liability Insurance.
Public Liability Insurance (PLI) should be held by the face painter to protect you (the client), and your guests against accidental injury or damage to property, caused by them. Should the unforeseen happen, their PLI cover will cover legal fees, costs and expenses.
The minimum level of cover you should look for on a Public Liability Insurance policy is £1 Million. However, it is not uncommon for entertainers and face painters to carry £2 Million, £5 Million or even £10 Million insurance cover.
We always recommend checking that the face painter you intend to hire carries PLI cover. Ask to see their Certificate of Insurance – a professional face painter will be happy to show you they are insured.
